Kelly has been working hard and is really progressing. He currently lives in Oregon. He can walk with a walker the length of a football field. Kelly is out spreading the word about stroke awareness - helping others.

Update on Kelly

Recently (August 2007) Kelly had another fund raiser at the SF Giants Stadium. Kelly attended and stood the entire event. He has a new piece of equipment that helps him stand! Progress!

Grammy nominated International Cuban Jazz Pianist Omar Sosa performed at a benefit concert for www.KellyCorliss.com

The event titled “Jazz for Kelly” was held on March 10^th at the Sonoma Woman’s Club, 574-1st St E. in Sonoma.

In 2005 Kelly Corliss, age 26, suffered a massive brain stem stroke, which left him totally paralyzed. Since the stroke, Kelly has made miraculous progress but needs much more help. All proceeds of the concert went to Kelly’s ongoing medical expenses.

The concert was amazing - Omar Sosa headlined with Josh Jones on Drums, Eric Crystal on Sax and Geoff Brennan on bass. Maria Marquez opened for Omar and was accompanied by pianist Jonathon Alford.

The event raised over $10k for Kelly Corliss. The concert raised $4, 642.00, The Valley of the Moon Lions Club donated $1000.00 and then the St. Vincent De Paul Society from St. Francis Solano Church donated $5,000.00! The concert and fundraising was a real community event.
